Step 1: Go to UIDAI portal.
Step 2: At the site enter your Aadhar Card Number at the space provided. After click send “OTP.” After that, you will receive a “one time password” on your registered mobile phone number with which to verify your number.
Step 3: After verification, you will automatically get to a page to update your information. You can update your Name, Address, Date of Birth and so on. You can now edit your details.
Step 4: Upload the supporting documents to authenticate your update. For instance, if you are updating your address, then scan and upload your utility bills or any other proof of residence document. After uploading, click “Submit.”
Step 5: After submission, you will get an Aadhar Card Update request number. With this number, you can track the status of your update.
This is an offline method. You can update your address by requesting through postal mail. The cost is free. The simple steps involved are as follows:
Step 1: Download the Address Change Form from https://uidai.gov.in/images/UpdateRequestFormV2.pdf
Step 2: Complete the form using the same language used at the time of enrolment and the language on your Aadhar letter. Ensure you mention clearly the fields you wish to update.
Step 3: After completion of the form, attach all supporting documents to the form and place all documents into an envelope. The envelope should be marked “Aadhar Card Address Update Form” at the top cover and forward to:

Enrolment Center Method
This is the easiest method but it will cost you the transportation cost to the center and 25INR only. All you need to do is to visit the enrolment center near you with all the originals of your supporting documents. The documents shall be verified at the center.
